HABIT ROUGE by Guerlain is an "Eau de Parfum" for men that belongs to the Oriental Woody family, describing a man who shines and stands out for his elegance and sophistication.
This fragrance was born in 1965 by the hand of Jean-Paul Guerlain himself, who wanted to express through a scent his unconditional love for the equestrian world, a fundamental passion and hobby in his life. With it, he wanted to show a succession of emotions and feelings totally dominated at all times, thus making a parallel to how the rider feels when riding on his horse.
Its wake begins with spicy notes of basil coupled with hints of citrus, coming from mandarin, lemon and bergamot. After a few seconds, her heart takes center stage, dominated by flowers such as neroli, rose and jasmine. Finally, its background makes a cast of masculinity that aims to convey the fragrance, thanks to its woody and bold notes.
OUD WOOD. HABIT ROUGE was the first perfume to introduce Oud wood into the world of Western perfume (which is why it is considered the first Oriental perfume), a scent that stands out for its warmth and for leaving behind an enigmatic and addictive trail.
FRENCH REFINEMENT. This fragrance perfectly transcribes the refinement and sophistication of the 'French gentleman' of the 1960s. A slender, passionate man with a captivating and sensual gaze.
RED JACKET. This is the translation of the fragrance name. It is due to the characteristic jacket worn by riders. Once again, allusion is made to the hobby and passion of Monsieur Guerlain.
Guerlain is a French perfume house, among the oldest in the world. It has a large customer following, and has traditionally been held in high esteem in the perfume industry. Perfumes by Guerlain are often said to be characterized by a common olfactory accord known as the "Guerlinade". A perfume by the same name was launched by Guerlain in 1921.
